so im making this topic because of the amount of unlegit 50s out there.
so i kno an unlegit 50 who im friends with the person who did the ranking up for him, this person like most unlegit 50s out there has a huge head above his shoulders because he thinks he good at the game now that he has a 50, witch is kinda anoying for me because he brags and brags about having a 50 even tho its not his own.

then you have the joys of unlegit 50s such as when u do come against them in a ranked or unranked playlist they really do suck.

but thats not the point really now is it its the fact that people who get legit 50s or people that are just god at the game to sit there and rank them up for no reason atall other than so they can go into games and give bad talk at the end of games witch in my opinion can get rather anoying.

so yh that me said and done but please feel free to comment and put ur own opinions on this subject. thanks

ive been playing like a unlegit 50, its due to playing GTA and then playing halo, its bad.

yea the halo 3 ranking system has been abused so much and now players can get a 50 in less than 20 games in dubs, or people playing one ranked game and modding the high skill 50. truly pathetic.

I would say.... according to 95% of the people that are 49 and below, to them there are no legit 50s.... If any 50 at all out there plays bad, they are called fake, not legit, or a bad 50.... even if its one game... or maybe they're just playing bad that day... whatever the case may be it seems that no matter what, no one is a legit 50 according to most.  Back when I wasn't a 50 in Snipers I would be called bad and such for going negative (once in a while) and all I could really say is... "HEY, I'm not a 50 in snipers (yet) get off my back".  It seems that if you have a 50 in 1 playlist a lot of people expect you to be PRO at all of  them... its tough being a legit 50 and a fake 50  :[    Good thread  :D

If you are noticeable bad at the game and you have a 50/bought a 50/boosted a 50, then you shouldn't have that rank and I bet A LOT of people have told you that in a message.

I just think it's funny how I just became a 50 on this account due to my 5k EXP arriving, and now the only thing people have to say to me is that I'm a so-and-so 5-Star. If I do good then they just leave but if I do bad they will call me out in the time that they have. Kinda stupid and dumb, but whatever.

Word of advice, get to whatever level you can, and be that level. The best thing to be is legit, that is all.

I would wholeheartedly have to agree with this. I don't think all 50's are legit. But if their record is decent for the most part then i would give them the benefit of the doubt that they might have had an "off" game. Other than that i don't have a problem playing against any levels really. It's all for fun anyways and who cares if some people are un-legit. Hell it makes the game easier on your end if they are. :) Just enjoy yourself that's all.

A good deal of 50s is legit, it's just that the illegitimate ones seem to be stuck in your mind a bit longer.
Personally, I'm an illegitimate 50. I played with a deranker (no I didn't pay, it was a friend lol) from 41 to 50 in 2s or 3s.
That doesn't necessarily mean I'm a bad 50 though. I've played over 400 games on my 50, in 2s, 3s and 4s, while maintaining a 1.20 k/d in the playlist.

Things I have learned while ranking up to a 50...
1 )never party up with a random that calls stuff out just cause your other random you partied up with before has to go somewhere...
2) never bother trying to get that high cause someone will always find something that looks wrong about if you ranked up that high...
3) if you do party up with a random, tell them "hold on, let me check your service record to see if you did anything wrong"...
4) if your connection has been bad, then sometimes its ok enough to play good, dont bother trying to rank up cause you suck in the first place cause of the connection problems you have sometimes....
5) if you play with other high rank people and all you can get are assists cause of other team mates stealing kills, so to speak, they mean nothing, even if you win or lose..
6) no matter what, if you are a 50, you are bad

When you play on your 50 (let's be honest here a lot of us have multiple accounts) there really is more "pressure" (loosely used) to do well.
I have bad games and connection issues just like everyone else, but when I have a bad game I have to get messages from whoever I was playing with saying "bad 50".
I have more fun playing on my 30, not just to beat up on people, but because no one expects much out of you and you can just have.......*GASP*....fun!

My absolute favorite!!!! is when Im going positive, and we lose because of bad teammates.. and then i get a message calling me a bad 50 because i don't have a strong enough back to carry 2 other people who probably weigh 300+ pounds.... : \

i put my pants on.......one leg at a time...just like all of you. except when my pants are on, im a 50.

In all seriousness though all the bought 50s gave having a 50 a bad name.  I have officially gotten up to a 50 7 times and lost it.  Even been back down to a 45.  All with mostly playing by myself with all randoms.  Not sure where I fit in as a legit 50 or not.  I have never been able to maintain it for any long period of time.  It is even worse now I am a 5 star.  People expect you to be some sort of halo god.  I cant wait to be a bad Onyx!

i love it when someone who isnt even close to a 50 starts yelling out the "Fake 50" crap, i guess people think that once you get youre 50 you cannot go negative once or you bought it lol..try playing 17,000 games on yellow bar :)

probably the best thing is when you go +30 and you get some colonel calling you bad :)

when im properly unbanned i will play like a unlegit 50 for the reason that i never played in a month you can only say your a fifty if you have more then 3 fiftys

I have 1 50 and my k/d beats yours by 0.10 with 400+ games on my 50.

On topic, many 50s unlegit, some legit. In the end it's just a rank that I don't care about, I just like to play the game.
