This is not good.

She is only stating the obvious, the 343 team are in full swing of development and currently there isn't any plans "At this time" I'm sure bs angel is aware of the things happening around the community like stat tracking sites.
Re: The Future of Halotracker
I made my point over at Waypoint:

As stated HTR will not close it's doors but our beloved stats will be reduced their & basically everywhere till something new is figured out. It is obvious that Reach is on the end of it's run & we hope that Halo 4 will include better in-depth stats than what is given by Bungie or 343i.

I feel the reason for this topic is to show the makers of the next Halo game that we as a Halo community want more that they are giving us so lets look at the history of stat sites:

I was a long time member of Halocharts & it was said by Firesteam several time the idea of HC came from the site Halojunk which not only had great H2 stats but leaderbords (the one thing that is not part of Bungie).

Halotracker & Metahalo was created by guys who saw the success of HC & the large community following & I feel each has done well on their own to add their own changes to what HC has done. With the closing of HC other sites have jumped out to include HaloCommunity where some of the core Halocharts members are.

The big change between Bungie & 343i to the other sites is the Leaderboards but theses have their own issues to include who is the best & what is boosting & what isn't (these sites have a crew of members who decide what is boosting & scrub the LB for boosters).

I feel outside the cost to make a API 343i would hope the Halo members would use waypoint for their stats but IMO the stat pages here are best minimal. What is the stat issue here, no leaderbord, no win percent per playlist, very confusing medals/weapons page & lastly the loading of games & stats here & on XBL is very slow.

Without API stat sites can get stats but it is a very difficult process & basically they are doing it without permission from the makers of the game (though I think they really don't care).

It in my opinion it comes down to money and where does 343i stand. Are they willing to "give" this to the Halo following or will they restrict stats & make us pay for it.

Re: The Future of Halotracker
It's really good to hear them say they have no plans for it yet. I think 343i will see the importance in collecting stats and will carry on with it. Reach would be sooo boring without this site.

Hopefully they will come up with a plan within the next few months. In my opinion Halo Reach is running off of Stats Sites, be it to improve their stats or be with a community, and with many losing their Stats, There many be a drop in players in Reach. This may catch the eyes of 343i and have them make a plan to bring Stats back for Stat Sites.

Still at least HTR has the best Community I have had the honor of being apart of, and I hope it stays that way. I will be here to the end.
Re: The Future of Halotracker
i like to know my stats and i know mostly everybody likes to know stats am i right
Re: The Future of Halotracker
I actually think when Halo 4 comes out, stats will be game-based, and not web-based. Like you should be able to see all of your medals, K/D's, win %'s, and weapon kills in-game... And have leaderboards for it in-game...

But still I think there would be a chance of having more in depth stats online... Like heat maps, and game by game breakdowns.
Re: The Future of Halotracker
I hope there will be someway that you can be able to pull stats off the new site for Halo....

... or someone at 343 is going to wish they were never born... ;]
Re: The Future of Halotracker
Wow, I'm in letter to 343, and support to HTR.
Re: The Future of Halotracker
Well that sucks
Re: The Future of Halotracker
Be pretty sick if HTR became 343's stats system lol....they did all the coding, etc. for it and then we just add that feature and then HTR does what it does =]

I know I am =] But it'd be pretty freakin sick if it happened lol
Re: The Future of Halotracker
It might be a way to force consolidation of the Halo market onto their website, instead of allowing satellite communities to exsist.

The slightest gap in any of those services with an announcment of no plans to continue and those satellite sites lose massive traffic and guess where they come?
