HTR Campaign Event

Do you remember when Combat Evolved, or when we saved Earth? How about the time we Finished the Fight? How did it feel to jump feet first into hell? Do you remember where it all started? Will you ever forget Reach?

Join us in re-living the Halo experience, as we play through all of the amazing campaign levels that made Halo one of the best selling franchises of all time. Join us as we embark on a journey as the Master Chief, The Rookie, and Noble 6 in their fight to save humanity. Join us as we fight these battles in the gut-wrenching, pulverizing, and nigh impossible Legendary, where teeming hordes of invincible alien monsters punish the slightest error with instant death... again and again.

How
Obviously, many of you do not have all 5 Halo games. Each week you can enter submissions for the campaign of the week (as noted below) and if you wish to have a co-op partner, state it below, and we'll pair you with someone :) NOTE: IT IS NOT REQUIRED TO HAVE ALL 5 GAMES TO PARTICIPATE, PARTICIPATE WITH THE GAMES THAT YOU HAVE. (put it in caps since people are still thinking they need all 5 :P )

Submission of Event
As many of these are on older games, we're counting on you to be honest during this part of the event. You may submit any game at anytime, until Sep 30. Within the submission message, you MUST include the following:

Links to captured video footage from full event,
or
For Halo CE/A and Halo 2, picture taken with camera during each mission in the campaign you are completing (mobile uploads fine) with your GT somewhere in the pic (name each pic according to the campaign level the picture is taken in please.) Take the picture during the ending cutscene of each mission, please, as that is the simplest way for me to verify your participation.

Remember to do this on LEGENDARY, and be honest with your submissions please. All skulls but Bandanna are allowed (BUT NO SKULLS ARE NECESSARY). No permanent invisibility glitching in Halo 2.
For Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST and Halo: Reach, save the films in theater and upload to your fileshare.
Message FA Aras Cade on xbl with the message: “File Share Halo (3, ODST, or Reach)”


There will be an award of a site event medal for each of the 5 campaigns, and I'll be doing a montage of the gameplay vids.
Due to the creation of a montage, I would request you don't speedrun, so we can have some great vids of funny deaths, and awesome kills.

Sounds like a good idea, although i seem a little confused as to what is occurring during these days, if it's a way to help players get through the campaigns on legendary?

If so, I'm more than happy to help other players get through, the only one i've yet to do is the Halo 3 campaign again. But that will be done after my university exams are over.

Cade...what time are you planning on starting this little thing you are setting up? I'm down for this but going to need me to be doing some planning on my side to make sure I can do it...would like to play through a couple campaigns over a few months

Post has been updated ^_^ Tyyger, this is for the enjoyment of playing all of the campaigns, if people get achievements along the way that's all well and good, but not the main objective here. The objective is to relive the Halo campaign experience. :D

Well, I finally got it on the event calendar :P Yeah, I thought we should stick to just the FPS 5, and you can just participate with the games you have, it isn't required to have all five.

I'll be doing this for sure.

This sounds really fun but I do have some questions.
1. Do you have to take a picture or use a video of you being in the event, because due to the fact that I dont own a Xbox360 harddrive I do not have access to fileshare, If proof is 100% necessary of someone doing the event cant we just send in a link with the game carnage (for reach)
2. Does Halo CEA require a hard drive for Co-Op? I know Halo 3 and Halo 3 ODST do but I am not sure about CEA. Reach used to require a harddriive but they made it so anyone can do Co-Op now. If possible, A / Some Co-Op partners would be helpful.

2. You can't do Halo CEA coop splitscreen, regardless of HD. You can only do coop over live. However, if you have original Halo:CE, that game has split screen capability.

If you are able to do split screen more power to you, I have a 120 GB HD and it won't let me split screen on campaign at all, and if your question is if it's required to have a hard drive to play CEA live, i don't know to be honest, as I have a hard drive and live, and use them in all of my playthroughs.

Thank you for answering my question for #1 (Guess I am going to have to use a camera). For #2 I will have to test it out myself to see if I can play over live. Thanks for the help.
