Tell us about yourself:What is your name? Brett Leonard
What is your Gamertag? NadedYour name or GT will sound familiar to some people, why is that? Where would people recognize you from? I have been a professional gamer since 2005 and have competed in every MLG event since the beginning of 2006. My first event being in Los Angeles 2005.
Do you use any other GT's that you would care to share? Naded is my only gamertag.
Why did you choose your GT's? Naded was originated from my first gamertag Lemonaded. I could not fit my clan name in front of that gamertag so I shortened it to Naded.
How young are you? I am 22 years young.
Where are you from, and where do you live now if not the same? I am from California and still currently live in the bay area of California.
What got you into gaming, and Halo specifically? What got me into gaming was my first gaming console, the Super Nintendo. Ever since then I have always loved video games. What got me into Halo was my first time I played the co-op campaign with my friend. I remember thinking this is the most fun I have had playing a FPS since Goldeneye on the N64. Ever since then I was hooked on gaming and Halo.
What are your favorite games when you are not playing Halo? The game I have played the most outside of Halo is World of Warcraft and numerous XBL Arcade games. I don't really play many other games besides the game I'm currently competing in at tournaments but you can never go wrong with a good casual gaming session.
If you were not an MLG Pro, what do you think you would be doing?I have always been a huge sports fan and I played baseball when I was younger. I always wanted to be a professional baseball or basketball player so I could see myself doing that.
Which Halo is your favorite and Why?My favorite Halo is Halo 2 because it is in my opinion the best Halo game made so far. I love the battle rifle and the overall gameplay in Halo 2. The combination between the glitches (Double shot, BxB, BxR, Nade Reload, etc.) and the great maps (Lockout, Midship, Sanctuary, Warlock, etc.) made it the best Halo.
What is your favorite gametype and map?I do not have a favorite gametype or map because I believe every gametype/map should be your favorite and you should be equally good on all maps and gametypes.
If you could only use one of the following, which would it be and why? BR, DMR or CE PistolBattle Rifle because I prefer 3 shot burst over single shot. I believe all of the guns are great weapons though.
How long have you been a part of the MLG? Like I said before my first MLG was Los Angeles 2005 and have been to every tournament since Meadowlands 2006. I continue on being part of MLG for many years to come.
What teams have you been a part of?I have been apart of many teams. Here is a list:
What is your best or favorite Pro moment? My favorite moment has got to be when I won the 2007 Orlando FFA along with my numerous top 3 placings in the 4v4 or FFA/1v1 competitions.
What other tournaments or events you have participated in outside of MLG?I have competed in a lot of local tournaments but not really any other league outside of MLG. I have never really gotten the opportunity to do so.
What do you hope to see in Halo 4?I hope to see a game that everyone loves and that MLG can run tournaments for. I really hope you can really customize the multiplayer settings.
What got you into streaming? What got me into streaming was watching some other pro players stream in the beginning of Halo: Reach. It is unfortunate I didn't find out about streaming until later on because I would have started streaming ages ago. It took me a little while to get the equipment for it as well since I did not have a good enough computer until about 3 months ago. I plan on streaming every day starting in early July and will be streaming for many years to come.
How long have you been streaming for?I have only been streaming for a few months now.
What days and times can you normally be seen streaming?I stream mostly at nights now but like I said before starting in July I will be streaming starting around 10 A.M. and going until later in the night.
What are your favorite things about streaming? My favorite thing about streaming is being able to connect with the fans and other players so easily. I constantly talk with my viewers and I love how much fun it is every time I stream. Something funny/crazy always seems to happen.
What do the majority of your viewers like to see you stream? Everyone wants me to stream any Halo game since that is my forte but I do get the occasional Peggle request. I was in the top 10 on the peggle 1v1 leaderboards at one point.
What equipment do you use to stream?I use the Blackmagic Intensity Pro along with xSplit.
What monitor do you use?I use a BenQ monitor to game on and also have a dual monitor set up on my computer (Asus/Viewsonic). All of the past MLG monitors they have used.
What headset do you use?I use the Astro A40 headset along with the mixamp as well.
What controller do you use, and what are your button layout and sensitivity settings?I use a normal Microsoft controller with no slow turn on it. My button layout is Recon, I change my sensitivity often but currently I have been playing on 2 I have been thinking about changing it up lately. I also play with no vibration.
What is your connection? My connection is around 35 download and 6 upload.
Do you have any highlights from your stream you would like to share? There are a few highlights but they are all in my videos section on my stream page.
http://www.twitch.tv/naded/videosDo you have any suggestions to people who want to stream?Have a personality and interact with your viewers.
What is your favorite thing about Halotracker? I love all of the stat breakdowns they offer. You can not get that anywhere else.
Do you have any shout outs or final comments for all your adoring fans? Shout out to all of my loyal fans, they have been great supporting me throughout the years and I can't wait to continue to play for years to come and give them more great Halo gameplay.
Shout out to my family, could not of been here without them.
Love all of you!
