I personally don't understand why so many people disliked Halo 3: ODST so much. I loved the open world vibe the game had, the way they told the story and how you weren't a Supersoldier but a human who isn't genetically altered in any way. There was so much exploration in the game, with the Mongoose, the snipers, etc. Also, the way we were told the story was amazing because we would find a clue and travel back in time to what happened. I don't know, maybe its just me who's got a different style of games than the majority of the games I prefer. What do you guys think?

FF in ODST was the best thing, god i had some marathons playing that.

i think to many people think they are MM pro's so ODST was a no go for them

I don't hear much hate towards ODST because most people say it had the best campaign. The story really was very nice.

ODST was awesome. i personally like shorter levels, and liked the open world vibe it had. Great story too!

Personally i loved ODST.  I love matchmaking but i loved the whole just walking around the city, exploring the city and seeing all the different things.    I completely understand what you mean because i have heard a lot of crap from people saying how ODST wasn't fun, it sucked, it was just an excuse for more money and such.

I very much loved how they didn't make it where there is just a designated path for you to follow that have break off's that lead to dead ends to let you know thats not the right way but that all ways pretty much led somewhere.  It was also cool how they had the audio files to see what had happened through the time of the narrator and the supply cache and such.  As you said to i liked how it wasn't a genetically engineered super solider but you where just playing as a normal specially trained ODST solider.

It seems only the true Halo fans loved ODST. Obviously I was talking to the wrong people because the true Halo fans will on a Halo forum...

Definitely, I miss playing Firefight on ODST and the hilarious lines the covenant would say, I miss when they still spoke english... :(

People hate on it, because it isn't a new game or a new multiplayer. It is simply just a firefight add on with new characters. $60 for recon when they released it.

I love ODST, I think it had the best campaign and great firefight. I personally think ODST's firefight classic mode would be more popular in reach if it was featured in matchmaking, as there is almost no point in doing custom firefight except for the once in a blue moon Endure...The Return challenge.  

Oringinal Firefight for the win! For sure the best firefight maps.

Definitely, I loved Windward and Lost Platoon especially.
