At a minimum, you’ll need at least an 8GB USB Flash Drive or an Xbox 360 Hard Drive to play Multiplayer mode in Halo 4. For an optimal experience playing with an Xbox 360 Hard Drive is highly recommended. For Xbox 360 4GB, Arcade and Core consoles, the Xbox 360 Hard Drive is sold separately. It wouldn't be really fair for Xbox Slim users because it comes with a hard drive with like 4 GB i believe and thy wouldn't be able to experience Halo 4 =(

I don't even understand why Microsoft still sells the 4 gb hard drive consoles, they should increase the slim to have 20 gb, so we don't problems like this were someone may buy a slim with Halo 4 only to realize that they can't play Halo 4.

I think this makes great sense if their pushing the 360 to its literal limit this time.  And thats just for multiplayer, does that include spartan ops and war games?  how many gigs in total do you think the game will take campaign DLC and everything?

Campaign content is on the disk, muliplayer is not.
8GB is a lot of space just for multiplayer (Before DLC) in my view that means they have done a great job with textures. It also should prevent the game skipping maps if someone has a scratched disk because it will read straight from the HDD

Makes sense.  I think Halo 4 is going to push the xbox 360 further then it has ever been pushed before.

Don't forget about Spartan Ops. It's an episode a week, which includes new missions and story. It's going to be a lot. They're just giving themselves wiggle room for map packs, etc.

And it's 8 gigs. That's like $10. Whoopie. You all aren't going bankrupt if you're buying the game. Geez.

What they need to do is ship out 2 discs, a multiplayer disc and a everything else disc like Battlefield.

Freezing is caused by the Halo 3 / Reach graphical engine, this will be fixed for Halo 4. It's also caused more when you are in party chat (because you are using more RAM)
