Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
Hello everyone :)
I were wondering if anyone of you have ever played Team Fortress 2 before? (I might have mentioned this sentence in one of the topics in the general gaming section).
As you know, it's a huge multiplayer game and not to mention that it's alot bigger than the Halo community! (Counting with players active daily / playing per day, as it's alot bigger). Anyway if you don't know what Team Fortress 2 is, then you should look at wikipedia for more information about it, about it's history and etc.
Anyway, i thought a video could be good for those who wants to see how it looks like, perhaps a gameplay is good enough ^^.

Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
I've played it at a comic-convention in my city. It was pretty fun, but I sucked at it.
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
I have it on my orange box game, never played it.
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
It may be hard for new beginners, but it doesn't take long to become a pro in this game, but if you'd start playing this game, i'd recommend you to play as a sniper class as he is the best one tho.
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
But as for soldier or demoman, they are pretty good classes to so it's really hard to say which class fits you. Mostly now i'm playing as a sniper class only because before i played all the classes and failed pretty hard, but now that i'm using the sniper class i'm pretty good with it :).
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
I played as the guy who disguises himself as the other team. Spy I believe. It was pretty fun, but hard. (Well for me at least)
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
I played this game for the longest time. So long, that I managed to have several different kinds of items in my TF2 inventory over the years. Trust me, TF2 has a bigger community than most people think. Not only do people focus heavily on different forms of gameplay and clans, but there are those who like to collect various items that can be acquired throughout the game. I do recommend trying the game for it's gameplay purposes. There are 9 different classes to choose from, many different objective-based game modes, and Lots of endless fun! Unfortunately, many of the features of TF2 are limited to the PC version.

Well yeah, the spy class is quite hard to master if you're new to the class. As a spy you must be aware of the enemies and have strategies, e.g. Backstabbing people requires timing and skill as some players are hard to backstab when they know that there might be a spy near by or just simply behind em'. One guy i know that is a master of the spy class is Omfgninja, he has some vids on youtube where he shows his skills as a spy, he almost takes out an enemy team tho. But for anyone else that plays as the class, it's possible to master the class, all you need is to practice and train with the class all the time.

I've played tf2 for some time to, not sure how long. But i'm an item fanatic tho as i really want to get rich or just simply have all the unique items and genuine items. The one item i do like is the duelling platina badge, the badge which you earn at level 75. I think it was around 740 duel wins in total in order to aquire it. But sure thing brother, count me in as a team fortress 2 fan!
P.S: If you want to play with me, add me :)

NOTE: After you've typed Ring there's an tm symbol, and also keep an eye out for the profile picture, as i have a dude that is raging. And if you see that this (NH) Ring is from sweden, that's me.

It took me a while that you couldn't use weapons/knife if you are using the camo.
Re: Ever tried Team Fortress 2?
I'm a big Steam user, which is run by Valve, and I know a lot of people who play/have played the game.

Essentially, Valve really whored themselves out at this point of the game's life. It's just Microtransactions that you pretty much NEED if you want ANYTHING, and people pay real money for those stupid collectable hats. It's getting nearly as bad as World of Warcraft, if not worse.

If you wanna play a good game with a similar style, there are several, ranging from Gotham City Imposters on xbox, to Tribes Ascend and Blacklight: Retribution on PC. They're all better imo, having played all of them AND TF2.

Well yeah, but as there are crates which you can aquire in team fortress 2, you must have these supply keys and they can only be aquired from the in game store or by trading for  the keys from other players, normaly almost every player trades for keys instead of wasting money on buying these keys. But as it's for me, i usually buy paint from the in game store in team fortress 2 and not keys, as i do trade for keys from other players instead :).
