Halotracker True Skill System: FAQ
HaloTracker has developed a new form of bragging rights for all you stat junkies. In addition to our already existing Arena divisions, HaloTracker now offers a level based system as well, one that resembles that of the Halo 2 and Halo 3 system. When you first collect your stats, you will be given a starting rank, from there you will progress up or down the structure depending on how you play. This system grows as you play. Your initial Rank is just a starting point. As you play, you will quickly find your Rank moving in the direct that is you. This is the only system of it's kind, that changes as you play, and moves with you up and down like Halo 3. We know your initial rank is too high, or too low. Trust me, it will become very accurate as you play halo. We've been play testing this for weeks, and we're very proud of it.Announcing this system brings up many concerns, so let me explain via question and answer and (hopefully) answer all of your questions. Does it get harder to rank up in the later levels?- Yes, significantly. The players with 50s on their playlists will have certainly earned it. Will I eventually get stuck at a rank like on Halo 3?- No, you continue to go up and down according to how you regardless of how many games you play, I'm dropping really quick, what's wrong?- The first time you collect your stats, the system establishes your rank off of very little numbers. Once you start playing, you will adjust to your actual rank. Whether that be a good thing, or bad! My stats are really good, yet I am ranked fairly low!-Again, the first you collect your stats, we have little information to go by. So we assign you a rank off a super simple formula. From there, we monitor your new stats, and we rank you up or down. The system can quickly adjust your rank if you are playing very well. The system starts out with a rough estimate, and over time becomes insanely accurate of your skill! What determines my rank?- We use multiple factors that are carefully balanced in order to scale the ranks appropriately. This also caters to the occurrence of bad team mates. Ok, I'm an Onyx in Big Team with a True Skill of 25, are you guys morons?- These are two completely different stats. If you recall, in Halo 3, an infinite amount of people could be a 50. And once you got it, you could stop playing and keep it! The Iron-Onyx system compares YOUR stats with everyone elses. So maybe you're better then everyone else, so you're onyx. But your actual skill is a revolving thing. It needs time to build. Keep playing on it, and you will find your division and your high skill will become very similar.

Re: Halotracker True Skill System: FAQ
So why add this, you already had divisions? Too many stats, ahhhhhhh - We wanted a system to reward and punish you after a night of halo. Something you could set an immediate goal to, and accomplish or fail it. The Division system, which I love, is a slow system. It takes weeks to earn a good position, and once you earn it, if you quit playing, you could get kicked out of your division.
With this system, you get instant results of your games. And once you achieve the rank you desire, you can keep it (if you quit playing). It's yours to earn and yours to lose!
What is the green and red arrow next to the true skill? - After you collect these arrows show if you ranked up or down in that playlist. This helps so you don't have to look at every playlist and try to remember what you were, or if you went up. After you collect again, if the rank stayed the same, these arrows will reset.

Re: Halotracker True Skill System: FAQ
I'm a bronze, my true skill in 3 was a 10, But I only played 200 or less games. If I would of continued playing, would i be true skill 50
