hello i know we talked about this earlier xorth but i wanna know what the community thinks about it.

ok so you guys know how for good forum posts you get +1 credits well, when the site starts getting newer stuff things that dont really interfere with the actual interaction on the site, things like backgrounds, layouts, etc.. well i was thinking what it in order to get those thing you had to buy them with forum credits? i personally love this idea i think it would be cool. however i do see one down side it might bring about credit boosting :\

what are everyone's thoughts on this?

I'm not a huge fan of the idea...

I have already thought of this idea, and came up with a system where you can use these extra credits to get a bonus stat of your choosing when 'supporter' status is introduced. However, as you've said, credit boosting WILL be an issue if there is stuff that normally costs money, but is free.



Other things you could possibly use credits for could include:




a) Sigs after the templates are done

b) Logos that can be placed underneath your name and other info while posting in the forums.




I'll probably be able to come up with more later, in the shower of course.

I like this idea.  We were talking about something like this a couple weeks ago to put something in place like the Reach credit system where you can unlock certain armors by using credits.

What about an update log, so we can tell what is added and when? I don't want to miss any new features when they come.

hey Xorth, just wanting to give a suggestion, you can or cannot, its your site.  i was just wanting to suggest being able to make a poll, and if you want you can limit it so people can't make like 15 random things and spam polls, but i think it would be cool cause i like to make post getting the communities opinions and letting them pick the thing they want that the topics about.  

the best part is, it can be completely private and no one has to know or they can just post and do the poll if they want to.

it is just a suggestion. its your choice though.

how about a forums just for the website.. like you got the off topic, halo 3, halo reach, and general gaming, how about a HTR forums where all things related to the site go?

Hmm..... That isn't a bad idea, but a problem lies with it. At a certain point, there may be too many boards per number of people. 4 boards for less than 50 people is a good ratio. 5 boards is pushing it...

how about a negative point option, to avoid misuse, only allow like 1 or 2 a day.

Under the 'my stats' option, there should be a link straight to 'my account'
