“Halo 4” Redefines Iconic Franchise with “Halo Infinity Multiplayer” Experience

Introducing “Halo Infinity Multiplayer”

The hub of the “Halo 4” multiplayer experience is the UNSC Infinity – the largest starship in the UNSC fleet that serves as the center of your Spartan career. Here you’ll build your custom Spartan-IV supersoldier, and progress your multiplayer career across all “Halo 4” competitive and cooperative game modes. Surrounded by the sights, sounds and crew of the biggest vessel in the UNSC fleet, your multiplayer experience will be embedded in the fiction of “Halo” like never before, where your progress and game choices affect your appearance, arsenal, and role on the battlefield.

·         Spartan Ops. The story of the UNSC Infinity intersects with the “Halo 4” campaign, then continues on in a brand-new, story-driven experience known as Spartan Ops. A first of its kind and exciting new addition to the “Halo” franchise, Spartan Ops is an episodic adventure that blends immersive storytelling, high-quality cinematics, and action-packed gameplay to deliver an unprecedented serialized experience.

Through a weekly series of cinematic episodes on Xbox LIVE, Spartan Ops will tell the continuing story of the UNSC Infinity, following the events of “Halo 4.” These episodes will center on the UNSC Infinity leaders and crew, and a new team of Spartans – Majestic Squad. These cinematic episodes will provide the backdrop for the weekly Spartan Ops gameplay missions. Playable in single-player or cooperatively (with up to three friends), explore the corners of Requiem in these objective-based missions, and help uncover the secrets of the mysterious Forerunner world.

A massive-scale adventure that builds off the “Halo 4” story, access to Spartan Ops is included with “Halo 4” at no additional charge – effectively delivering two campaign experiences in one game.*

·         War Games. The competitive multiplayer modes of “Halo 4,” known as War Games, take place on the combat deck of the UNSC Infinity and revive the visceral and immersive experiences that “Halo” multiplayer is famous for. “Halo 4” introduces fresh, immersive new game modes and strategies to help you progress your Spartan-IV career, while also delivering an experience that’s still distinctly and uniquely “Halo.” More details on all the modes of War Games will be released at a later time.

·         Total Combat Freedom and Player Progression. “Halo 4” features a vastly expanded suite of new multiplayer modes, weapons, vehicles, armor abilities, a new loadout and player progression system, and a new armor modification system that introduces gameplay-enhancing customizations for the first time in a “Halo” game. These advancements can be used in both Spartan Ops and certain War Games matchmaking playlists, empowering player choice, vastly expanding their creative options, and make the experience deeper for core fans and more approachable for newcomers.

The “Halo 4” player progression system goes beyond simple aesthetic upgrades, encouraging players to invest time and effort to create a Spartan that looks and plays the way they want. Players can earn and activate combat enhancements called “Specializations” based on the style of play they engage in, from stealth to all-out assault, and everything in between.

What is your best or favorite Pro moment?

57 - Favorite Pro moment would have to be beating Str8 Rippin at Raleigh 2010 National Championships in 2 series, with an overall score of 6-1 against them where we ended up placing 10th.
  
20 - I'd have to say that moment also, or perhaps being invited to TheLanNetwork last year to practice against some of the best teams in the game before the MLG Dallas 2011 Opener event, that was a really cool experience!

What got you into streaming?

57 - We saw lots of other players doing it and it looked like something fun to do as well as helping to promote ourselves and our team.
  
20 - A lot of people wanted to see us play online, so we've done everything in our power to give our fans and followers what they want!

HaloTracker's Community File Spotlight

This week's Community Files Spotlight is Facility 17 submitted by under zid of Forge Cafe.



Facility 17 is a based on the idea of an underground testing lab, with cosemetic detail in mind. We really wanted to give the feel of being in a labratory deep with the rocky core of the earth. The facility was being used to reverse engineer Covenant technology during the space wars. Captured ships were taken underground, and UNSC top officials and scientists would use stolen programs to duplicate the alien energy.

The energy would then be gathered in silos and stored for future agendas. The facility remained CODE BLACK until recent attacks on UNSC cities forced the military to de-classify the area, and tap into the energy reserves. It remains operational today, although very little energy remains.

So you STILL don't have the Anniversary maps? Well thanks to Jennie and ShavedLycan13, 2 lucky people will each win a download code good for the Halo Anniversary Map Pack.

In order to qualify for this drawing, you must play and win a slayer based gametype (excluding SWAT, Snipers and Living Dead) and you must earn at least 3 kills, 4 assists and 3 headshots with the Magnum and only the Magnum. Melee and grenades kills are also allowed. This can be on any non Anniversary MM map.

10,343 Halotracker challenges, in the bag!

Wow.  Never thought we would see this day.  The users of this site, have completed 10,343 challenges.  

Why is this significant? It shows you how tight this community is, and how it pulls people together to enjoy and continue playing Halo.  When you could be off getting credits for in-game challenges, you were out there getting ours.  Ours, which were often a lot harder, and all you got was some player page awards, it really shows how talented and dedicated you guys are.

We should all give the the challenge producers one big curtsie, for they make these challenges every week.  This feature is for you, by you, and I'm glad you enjoy it.  Sabj got this program going little less then a year ago, and the Challenge Creators group took over from there.   They get nothing in return for doing this work. This is all for you.

On Monday, I will compile all of the submissions for the dates: Feb 6th to Feb 20th.  Every submission you make is one raffle ticket.  Using random.org, I will pick winners and PM you codes!

My Current Project

Lately I have been working on freshening up the supporter stats.  They have a lot of information, but were not always pleasing to the eyes, and there was a lack of filtering and sorting and what not.  

For instance, for the rolling KD stat, you could only see your overall rolling KD, you could not see your progress over a playlist or a game type (arena, competitive).  

So I am going back through a freshening those up, and making them more configurable, so you can enjoy them more and drill down to the data that you need to make you a better halo player.

If you would like any more stats added, or any ideas on how to improve that stat area, drop me a note in the comments!  I will be working on this for over the next week, and you'll see page by page being improved and looking better.  I'm not going to post news everytime I improve one, just be looking!

New Stats!

It's been a while since I've added stats, but I'm back to adding some, as well as looking forward to a new stats page upgrade!

One thing I realized about halotracker is that we were showing your stats, not really tracking them. So I'm fixing that! There is a new tab on your stats page.  Called 'Progress'

Progress Tab
- Tracks your daily K/d, KA/d, Win%, Sitescore, and Spread
- Supporter? We track your headshots.  Sorry that data is only available by downloading all your games.

Important notes:
A) When we say "Daily" we mean, each time you collect.  So it's up to you to come to halotracker and update your stats. We don't have the resources to update 150,000 gamertags everyday.    If you collect once a week, then your "Daily" KD will be "Weekly" KD.  

B) We just turned this on, past data is not available (Except for headshots for supporters)

New Leaderboard & Challenges

New Leaderboard

A major component of Halotracker has been completely re-written from scratch. Our leaderboards.  Our previous ones were slow, error prone, and incomplete.  Which is not good for a leaderboard site! So I rebuild them from the ground.

Testers, for finding all my bugs!! (there were none but they tried hard)  

They are much more configurable, faster, and more pleasing to the eyes. Take a look!

Monday Update & Challenges

Howdy!

Weekend Updates

- Groups now have "Pages" where you can do long write ups for internal group stuff, or for public recruitment
- Group members listing has been made cleaner
- New Leaderboard, Sniperhead Shot Percent, based on min kills, Check it out
- I did lots of database maint to keep the speeds up

Notes

- Halo 3 Ranks are down at the moment, looking to optimize those. The stats are still up, just not the ranks
- If anybody wants to tackle the halo 3 stats page, contact me, I simply don't have time to program for an old game

New Challenge Monday

Happy Monday! Little bit of news:

Regional Leaderboards
The number 1 feature request has been "Country Leaderboards," But I decided to do you one better.  Regional Leaderboards.  This means, depending where you live,  State, and non-USA, City!  

Check out the leaderboard, add yourself.  This is still in beta.  One the main leaderboards work with Country/State/City, the Medals/Weapons/Playlists don't yet. But they will soon, assuming you guys like where I'm going with this.

Stat Combiner
This is a tool I made out of sheer boredom.  It's not even beta yet, it's like Alpha. If there was something before Alpha, it would be that. But we're stuck with Alpha.  Play with it, let me know what you think, and report any bugs (there will be bugs, I promise you).  

This tool is not done, and does not represent halotracker's quality standards. It's a quick, tool, made out of boredom!  Check it out here

News Update

Firstly, we have a new Campaign Challenges page.



5 total awards up for grabs for each specific mission, complete them by meeting requirements on Heroic or Legendary or completing them with all skulls on solo or co-op. Thanks to Ht tommy for putting these challenges together. You can find this page under the challenge tab or by clicking the image above.

Secondly, K0p Sanctus has put together a Campaign contest, try and survive the longest on the mission Lone Wolf and achieve a high score. Participate for your chance to win a Halo: Reach Macfarlane Toys Mongoose with Noble Six.

FLAG Tournament

The Fight Like A Girl (or F.L.A.G for short) tournament held every October to raise money in the fight against breast and cervical cancer.

This year the tournament runs from October 21st-23rd and there are a wide variety of formats to choose from this time around, including 4v4, 2v2, FFA and FF (Team and solo). Click the pic above for times and dates for each format.

NEW LB & Theme

First Up, I have added a new leaderboard, that contains the following stats:
- Credits
- Daily Challenges / Weekly Challenges
- Sensitvity / Controller Style / Inverted
- # of 50s
- # of Onyxs
- # of HTR Awards
- MLG Pro Leaderboard

This is ever growing. It's a specialized leaderboard, which is why it has it's own page.  Of course a few notes:

- Boosters will be found and removed, give our head hunters some time.
- There are some people with Weekly Challenges completed that is an impossible number. I have no clue how they did it, and there are some trust worthy people on there who I know didn't reset their challenges.  It is what it is.  
- If MLG Pros change their GTs, let us know, we'll keep that leaderboard up to date

New Site Theme!

As you may have noticed, we have a new site theme, and unlike past theme releases, I applied this theme to everyone.  I hope you like it!

-Be sure to report any issues you have with it in the comments, as some browsers could potentially screw it up.
-Of course, you may go back to one of our old themes, simply click on 'My Stats' -> Account, and pick the theme you want and hit save.

Create your own Leaderboard

yay, the time is here, you can create your own leaderboard!

Here's how it works:
- You go here: Create your own Leaderboard, you can find this in the Leaderboards menu
- You Create a leaderboard, and then make a game set.  This will be a block of games.
- You enter in all the game ids, or links, that you want, and add them
- Then you end up with a leaderboard of those games.  

Few Notes
- If you want to limit gamertags to just your friends (not everyone in the game), then you need to make a group with your friends, and you can have it pull only people in your group
- You can make multiple game sets, like if you have a game night, and you want to keep them seperate.  Or you can put them all in one big bucket.

After you make your leaderboard, you can share it with a link to all your friends!

Massive Stat Guide

After people requesting over and over stats that we already have, we decided that perhaps we have too many stats! Instead of deleting them all though, we decided to make a guide. haha.

Edge put a lot of work into this, so please check it out.  We have a ton of stats, and it's hard to organize them. I do my best, and there is tabs all over the place.  It's likely you've missed something. Even some hardcore halotracker users, who have donated, and been here since day one, have missed some of our stats that are hidden on your stats page.

Check out this guide, and make sure you're seeing all there is to see.  If Edge forgot anything, troll him.

True Skill Leaderboard

Hello thar!

I realized today we don't have a leaderboard for True Skill.  Not sure how I forgot that, we are a leaderboard site after all.

Anyway, this is filtered by playlist.  You can see all the pretty ranks, find yourself, and even find a friend.  Hope you enjoy. I have a few more ideas for leaderboards, but you'll have to wait!

-The leaderboard IS in order.  If you are a 50, and the person below you is also 50, guess what, you're the better 50.  
- The weird lookin 50s are grades. Those people rock.

2v2 Tournament!

Date:  8TH & 9TH OCTOBER
Time: 3PM EST ( BOTH DAYS )
Free entry for all participants. All participants are required to join the tournament organisers group to be entered into the 2 vs 2 tournament.
Max Players: 128 players - 64 teams of 2

Calling All Forgers!

Calling all Forgers! We are holding a contest. Thats right! We're asking you to put your map forging skills to the test.

We are in need of a Slayer map for our upcoming 2v2 tournament. The winning submission will be used in the tournament as well as the winner will get some other awesome prizes and some well deserved kudos.

Of course with any contest there is rules so keep reading then when all done bust out your copy of Halo: Reach and get going!

Games By Day Updated

If your a supporter, or haven't used your 500 game download yet, you'll like this!

In your Games by Day played stat, you can now see a daily break down of your games played per Game Type, Playlist, and Map!  This is just another way to break down your last nights games.

You can find this stat in your Reach Stats, In-Depth Stats, and a link towards the bottom.

Site Score Updates

You will notice your overall site score going up today.  There is no major change.

Basically, your overall sitescore was sort of an average of all of your Arena/Competitive/Invasion site scores, and this was causing some issues.

I changed this to be the SUM of those site scores, not an average, so of course your site score is going to go up.  Your site rank will change as well.  

This move was to fix some bugs, but it also gets us going in the right direction for Site Score 2.0.

Weekend Update

True Skill
We updated the images, just to make it nicer, and added another grade. If you have a 50 Grade 5, you are insanely good and you need to go outside. But, regardless, I'll be impressed



True Skill Hints
A lot of people have said that our True Skill System is very hard. I want to give you guys some hints on ranking up, so it won't be so hard.   Win. Win. Win.   We look at Kills, Assists, Deaths, etc too (in some playlists), but overall its about winning.  Party up with friends, and win.  If you play with randoms and you hold a 50% win rate, you won't rank up.  You didn't rank up in H3 either.  

Use our forum, find some like minded, like skilled people, and party up and rank up.

Broadcasters Page
- We have brought ShavedLycan13 on as our broadcasters manager. He will be off recruiting new talent, and helping us remove streamers who never stream.  Shout out to him!
- New broadcasters page. Updated graphics.  Enjoy the new slick look. Example
- Updated Broadcasters listing page. Mouse over the streamer to see more info about them!

More Ranks And True Skill!

Two new features at HTR that we put a lot of work into!

First, we have another year of Halo: Reach before we can even think about Halo 4.  A lot of you are going to hit reclaimer, then what? Put the game away? Ya right.  So here at HTR, you will be able to keep achieving higher ranks!  



Secondly, some of you have one playlist, and you kick ass at it. You already got your 50, now what?  Well, we have created Grades for you!  

The only difference you will notice from Halo 3 is, you CAN lose your grade, if you lose a bunch of games.  But, if you're even close to this rank, losing is not on your schedule of things to do anyway.

True Skill Update

We'll be adding lots off additional features for the 1-50 True Skill.  

Todays update is, if you expand the playlist stats, you can see a few things. Your highest skill in that playlist, some recent history of Skill Changes, and a progress bar showing how far until you rank up.  Btw, that progress bar will regress if you lose =)



The little green arrow means you went up that stat collection.  Collect your stats again, and the arrows are reset.

HaloTracker Presents 1-50 Skill Ranks!

HaloTracker has developed a new form of bragging rights for all you stat junkies. In addition to our already existing Arena divisions, HaloTracker now offers a level based system as well, one that resembles that of the Halo 2 and Halo 3 system. When you first collect your stats, you will be given a starting rank, from there you will progress up or down the structure depending on how you play. 

The formula mirrors Halo 3 in many ways, winning is the biggest factor and losing will drop your rank, we have also included some stats requisites that will sort out the best of the best. Im proud to say we have come up with the most accurate formula of any stats site to date, Enjoy!

I'm very proud today, that I can say our very first charity drive, has been a monumental success.  Our community has raised $612 to the Eddie Soloman Cancer Foundation.

I want to thank everyone who donated. Everyone who donated, is a generous person.  I want also say thank you to those who went above and beyond the call of duty by donating insane amounts of money to the cause.

Tournament Leaderboard

I have created the first steps towards an Official Halotracker Tournament Leaderboard.  This will continue to evolve, as our tournaments evolve.  

Any tournament that is approved by our official Tournament Managers (Sengir / Anubis) will be elgible to have the tournament stats collected for this leaderboard!  Our first two approved tournaments were held by Allenwinden and Hellraizer (Operated by Red Cage).

First up - Games By GameType/Playlist.  Ever want to see a list of your games by playlist? Now you can.  Just dial it up and scroll through it all!



This next stat is for fun:  This will list some of the bad kids you have encountered. You can filter it down by playlist, or overall, it will list the super negative KDs you have run into in matchmaking.  These could be your friends as well.  Use this for talking crap or making excuses for why you suck.

Massive Stats Update

While reading this you may run out of breath, so be sure to take breaks.

Lets start with some updates:

First, we have added commendations to your stats. Check the Aggregate Stats tab!



Secondly, we will now start tracking your credits. If you come to HTR daily and update your stats, we'll watch you progress and keep track of your ranks!  Since this is a new feature, it will take a week or so of collections before it becomes interesting. We'll add more stats like "credits per day" and etc after we have some more data



Thirdly, Edge outdid himself with some data entry, coupled with my coding l33t skillz, and we now can track your progress on Halotracker Awards!! Check them out here!



Fourthly, We now tell you your site rank and how many people are eligible to be in that rank. So you can see how awesome/bad you are.



Also, Please note in the image above, Invasion stats were moved to the Competitive tab.  I needed more tab space, so they got combined!

If you are having trouble finding the credit and commendation stats, here is a little pointer:



Halotracker has the most stats of any Halo site in existence.  Why? Because of our community support through donations AND ideas.  Every single thing release today was requested by the community and fulfilled by myself and edge.

As I stated above, more is coming, but I wanted to get this stuff to you guys now.

I have tweaked the Site Score.  Everyones Site Score has gone down, just because the amount of points for certain things went down. Everyone went down. Not just you. So don't fret.

Division Leaderboards

Halotracker Site Score and Bungie Divisions for Arena are two very different formulas.  We look at your individual skill, while bungie has turned the formula into a Team Skill by focusing solely on your winning percent (and against who).  So we decided to make a leaderboard for their divisions.  Also, since we have HTR Competitive Divisions, I threw those in too.

New in-depth stats!

- Headshot % graph

Shows kills, headshots + your headshot ratio in one neat graph. A similiar graph, but by weapon, instead of date, is on the Game Totals By Day stat link.

- New playlist stats

Both playlist + map stats are combined in this stats table, it can be broken down by gametype and playlist

Charlotte, NC, June 15 2011 – The National Gaming League (NGL) is pleased to announce the second installment of the 2011 competitive season in Charlotte, North Carolina, July 23-24 at the Double Tree Charlotte Airport Hotel. The tournament will feature Free-for-All, 2v2, and 4v4 events for both Halo: Reach and Call of Duty: Black Ops.

Halo: Reach rounds will take place on Saturday, July 23, and Call of Duty: Black Ops rounds will be held on Sunday, July 24.

Some News Tidbits

1) 1 v 1 League has been resumed. We had put it on hold while we fixed some bugs and improved the league.  Hope everyone gets back into it.  It's been a lot of fun to work on, and we got some people in the top 10 who need to be beat! =)

2) We have a new HTR Friend.  


These guys make signatures using Halo: Reach Forge. They come up with some interesting stuff. I tried to do it, and failed miserably. Check out their site by clicking on the logo.

New credit stats added

These stats show lifetime credits and average credits earned per day, also a progress bar to see how far away you are from your next rank.


in addition to this, we have added a progress list of your future ranks, all based off your lifetime credits.

Challenges tab added


New tab on reach player pages, shows current daily and weekly challenges, your progress in completing them and how much credits they're worth.

I'm back!

I wouldn't normally make a post about myself, but I just wanted to clarify some things. I was gone for a month, and basically did nothing on HTR, (barely even showed up), I was having my wedding and honeymoon abroad.

The site needs some TLC and it's going to get it.  I have a lot of ideas in the Feedback & Requests bar, I will go over those in the next week or so.  Unfortunately, while I was gone our collector started having issues.  I am going to fix that first.  But just letting everyone know, that the site is not abandoned, I was just gone on a short leave.

Halotracker 1v1 League

We are proud to present the Halotracker 1v1 League on the site, this has been beta tested and is ready for launch!



To sign up to league hit the sign up button at the top of 1v1 league page, the league works similar to Gamebattles ladders in which you can challenge people within your skill range. Each 1v1 challenge is to submitted to staff for approval, game links from each game can be found under the 'Recent Matches' tab. There also is the 'Game Stats' tab, this compiles each players stats from all your 1v1 challenges.

Also, a new stat has been added. In-game rank by kills, this shows you how many games you have come on top in terms of kills. This can be shown by spread also.

New Broadcaster Page

Our broadcaster page was really just a bunch of components pushed together, so I had edge clear it up for us. I think he did a great job! Check it out!

HTR Divisions have been added to Firefight player pages, these apply to all score attack gametypes and are purely based off High Scores.  

New Medals! Avenger medal, based on the Avengers!

Prophetic posts
These will act like the prophetic posts in the forums, when a file reaches a certain amount of credits it will become prophetic and the post will be highlighted red.



Comments
This will also act like in the forums, posting a comment on a file will bring this to the top of the page. So the most recently commented on files will be shown at the top.


Weapons Info

Aggregate Weapon Leaderboards have been reset, to make way for additional features. It will take a few days for everyone to collect their stats and repopulate the leaderboards, so enjoy your high rank for the time being. Screen shot it!

Weapon stats per Playlist are unchanged.

Get Involved

Just letting you guys know of some more ways to get involved in our community.

1) National Gaming League: They need your help. They want to make a montage of epic proportions and they want your clips.  Seems like a win/win situation to me.  Please check out this thread and help them make a sick montage.  

2) Swat Gamebattles Team:   Pure fire is trying to build a Halotracker SWAT Game Battles team.  If you have what it takes and you want to represent Halotracker, Please check it out here!.  I have participated in Gamebattles myself, and it's a lot of fun. Love the competition.

You came here for the Firefight Stats, and you won't be disappointed.

First thing is first though, these stats don't appear out of thin air.

1) Register with halotracker!

2) Go to your Reach Stats Page, In-Depth Stats Tab, And hit the big blue Collect Link.  This downloads all your games

3) Go to your Firefight Tab, and enjoy the insane amount of stats.  Click on the Game Type to see your medals/weapons.   Enjoy!

Staff Changes

Forerunners [Admins]
- We added Edge.  He was our 2nd moderator to join, and has been responsible for a lot of the things you see on HTR.  He does a lot of the graphics. Of course you can find him in the CB at almost any time, and he is always helpful.

He has provided every help guide on the site, and just has been there for anything we need. We felt like it was time he became an admin!

Sentinels [Mods]
- We would like to welcome cwinker to the team! He will our newest mod.  He has been an active member of the site for a long time, has been just part of the HTR messed up family that we have going on here.  It was time that he wore the green!

Please congratulate these guys for their promotions!

I've had these stats the whole time, but no room to show you. So I found some space.  If you click on the Playlist name on your stats, it will drop down and show you more stats on that playlist.  Please note, that this new found room is going to bring you a crap load more stats. But for now, you just get a few.  Come back for more in a bit!

Small Updates

On the Advanced Stats

- By Map / By Playlist : Added Avg Rating, Avg Spread, and Kills/Game.  
- I'm looking to make these full screen as there is a lot of data and it can't fit that nicely into the box.

Challenges
- As aways you can expect new challenges Monday morning!  Shout out to everyone who does them, we'll hit 1000 completed challenges today.   We just hit 500 completed challenges a couple weeks ago? You guys are tearing these up.

Donations
- Donations thread updated with the figures for January.  Spoiler Alert, you guys went above and beyond!

Profile Settings
- Added option to disable forum sigs when your reading threads, for those of you who don't like clutter or have slow internet.
- After adding that option there was just way too many options on the profile settings tab, so I tabbed it to split it up.  Hope it's not too confusing.

Longest Streak & Sorting

-New on your In-Depth Stats Tab you have a link to your Longest Streak, and you can see those games.

- I also adding table sorting to pretty much any table you would ever want to sort on the entire site.  Stats, Forums, Groups, etc.  I have noticed that the sorting script doesn't work well when I include ranks and stuff with the column stat.  I will fix this overtime, but I wanted to push the sorting out now as it's been needed for a long time. It works great on the advanced stats tables, you can sort all of those pretty well.

These for all playlists, these are based off wins and similar to Playlist Progression from Halo 3.

All the EXP ranks are listed here they all require a minimum amount of wins.

Forum Credits for Community Files

In the past all we had was the rating system for community files, but in addition to that, you can receive forum credits for the content itself.

If someone rates you with a 4-star, you will receive ONE forum credit.
If someone rates you with a 5-star, you will receive TWO forum credits.

Less then 4, you get bupkus.

I am always looking for ways to reward our donators, but at the same time, I keep the site free, so I am limited.

That said, I wanted them to get some recognition.  So I made a special page for them. Here. Please note this is not a leaderboard.  This is a list of people who make this site possible. Being on this list means you are our top supporters, and your a small percent of our population that keeps this place up and running.

Small Updates

- Community Files small update: You can search by User id or click on a user id in the files list and get all of a persons files.  You could share your link like so xorths files.

- The above also exists in your profile page, under tab 'User Content' but the above link would be the fastest way to share your stuff.

- A couple of FF/Campaign stats were put onto the Reach stats page, on the bottom of the first tab.  The rest are coming soon.

- HTR News is now on the bottom box of the forums

- Added new HTR Friend, The National Gaming League

- The folks over at HBO featured us on their front page, you should check them out, they are major halo fans like ourselves. Thanks you HBO for posting about us.

- Competitive Divisions tweaked. Also if you hover over your division, you will see your site percentile.  

- Min 30 games to be playlist ranked on your player page, this is due to people playing 1 game and being #1 on the K/d Leaderboards.

Player Models

Bungie has turned your player model updating on. This means the massive image on your player page will start to be updated and look like you!

They said they have to update a million or so, so it might take a few weeks :(, but be collecting and looking for your bling.  

We made that image so big so you can show off your armor, so finally, you'll be updated!

Happy New Year

HTR would like to extend a Happy New Year to everyone out there. Hope you enjoy our holiday site-headers.   Hope you all have a great night and be safe.

The Decemeber Site Donations has been released: HERE.  I try to be transparent as possible.  We are not here to post a profit, but we do have a very expensive server to run this site.  Currently the admins are sharing the costs.  I can never be sure how long we will do that, but for now, we are.

If you find it in your heart to donate a few bucks to us, that would be great.  It keeps our high-end server paid for, our 3.3 Terrabytes of bandwidth that we use to dish out all these stats.   It also keeps me interested, and I will continue to develop more and more stats and features.

In addition to feeling warm inside you get the following:
- A supporter medal on your player page.  Preview
- Gold Name in the chat box and forums [Min $5 donation]
- Access to custom emblems in the forum [Min $15 donation]

We DO NOT charge for stats.  
1) That is against microsoft and bungies terms of use.
2) We want everyone to enjoy our stats.

That said, just because you don't have to donate, doesn't mean we don't need it.

Major Site Tweak

A major tweak has been fixed in the Site Score and Site Rank part of the site.  People who were playing Arena more then Competitive/Invasion were suffering a massive point loss due to bungie deleting all old seasonal stats.  

The Site has been updated, and you will now get credit for ALL of your arena games in your Overall Site Score.  You will need to collect your stats for this to be reflected.

Also it will take the site a few days to get everybody updated.

Overall Halotracker Division

As you hopefully know, we give out "Arena" like divisions to Competitive playlists.  Well it was requested by ZombieHunter000 that we do overall divisions for everything.  



This will take into consideration your Arena, Competitive, and Invasion stats, and put you in an overall site percentile.  I haven't released the percentiles yet, just your rank. That will be here soon.  

Top 7%: Onyx
Top 15%: Gold
Top 30% Silver
Top 70%: Bronze
Then Steel for the rest.  Good luck!

Min 100 Games to be put in a division.

Updates for Dec 01/2010

- Arena Season 2 is being archived. Back on your player pages shortly.
- Arena Season 4 will now appear on your player pages
- Noble Team playlist will appear

I want to note in case there is confusion: The arena leaderboards are based on your Current Season AND Prior Season stats.  This is how I choose to go. Your overall Arena stats are on your player page.  My reason for this, every Season is different.  Sometimes you have radar, other times no radar. The Armor Abilities change every season. I'd like to have a more dynamic leaderboard to see who is best with the CURRENT Arena setup. I'm open to debate on this. Contact me.

Of course you can still see the leaderboards by individidual playlists on the Leaderboards page.

Profanity Censor

I rolled out today a profanity censor for the chat box. It is completely optional. Default setting is 'ON' which means all profanity will be removed and converted to 'bleep'.  You may disable the filter by a link above the main chat box in the forum.

This filter will also be applied to the forums.  The basic words have been included in the filter, and more will be added as we discover them.  I ask those with harsh language to not purposely trick the filter.

Competitive Divisions Added

HaloTracker has added a little bonus to people who play Halo: Reach and frequent the competitive playlists. After 30 games in any competitive playlist you will now be put into a division just like you would in the arena playlists. Onyx, Gold, Silver, Bronze and Steel.

The division placement are as follows:
Steel: Top 70%
Bronze: Top 50 %
Silver: Top 25%
Gold: Top 15%
Onyx: Top 7%

We're still here!

I have been coding away like there is no tomorrow and haven't really been posting news about it.

Stats are coming along nicely.  Adding stuff everyday and working on lots more.   I usually add something everyday, so try to update your stats and check it out.  We'll be adding a lot more.  If you have any requests drop by the chat box or send me a PM!

Awards are viewable on your Reach player page overview, You will also get a PM notifying you of any awards you receive right after you collect your stats. You must collect your stats in order for the awards to appear on your player page.

New Front Page!!

In the spirit of reach we decided to take the old design and throw it in the trash since we felt it was outdated with Halo Reach hitting shelves and a whole new era being ushered in.

It is quite a overhaul from the old design I hope you all enjoy.

This is just the beginning more to come soon and it will not disappoint I promise.

Reach Forged Maps: All of the maps from Halo CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3

Reach is the newest and in my opinion the greatest. But if you ever feel the need to go back in time and play some of the old Halo CE, 2, and Halo 3 maps, Jennie has graciously uploaded them into one place where you can cherry pick the ones you want, perhaps for some customs fun!

Add Your Forged Maps

As promised, you can now add your forged maps to the community files section of the site here..  All you do is key in some details, and the link to the map on bungie, and we'll take it from there. This is a great way to get your maps out to the community and not let it get lost in the millions of files on bungie.

On your map submission you may also include
-Links to the game types
-Screen shots of the map
-Video fly bys

Reach Update: Still no access to the Bungie Stats API. =( But I bet it's soon.

Bungie fixed their embedding of Reach videos. So you may now submit them to the Community Files or post them in the forum with the bbcode: [ bungiereach]FILEID[ /bungiereach].

Halotracker.com Presents "H3 Tribute Contest" Results

I want to start off by saying that the staff truly had a fun time watching and looking at each of your submissions. Choosing winners out of the submissions given was harder then we expected.  Ultimately, we will put together a collaborative tribute using all of your submissions and keep them in a sanctuary here on the site.  Again, thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into this contest.  We truly appreciate all of your hard work!

Community Montage Submissions Extended 2 Days!

I have taken the clips from Edgy in order to cap them with my HD cap card.

I am going to open the submissions for 2 or 3 more days to see if we can get any more clips to add to it so that we can send H3 out with a bang.

Some of our best moments from the game need to be captured in this montage so that we can remember the 3 years we spent playing the game we love.

New broadcasters page!

We've always been proud of our justin.tv broadcasters, so we decided to give them a much needed update.

You can check out the new listing here. Each broadcaster will get an icon that is black and white when they are offline, and color when they are streaming. You can watch their stream, chat in their stream, and chat on halotracker!

As always, nothing is ever done. We will be adding even more stats to this page. Hope you enjoy.

Congratulations Bishop!!

Bishop has joined me in helping code the site with Reach coming up.

He has already written thousands of lines of code that you all will be using here shortly. With his help, this site will have some incredible stats and features that you guys just won't believe.

So we have created this website role. It's called HTR Developer. And currently Bishop is the only one in this group.

Who knows what the future holds, but we're ready should we have more developers in the future. This position is honorary, and special.

This is a special status for people who code the site. Which is myself and bishop. Please give him a warm welcome and thank him for his time.

User Files!

For lack of a better name, I am calling this user files. Here, you can link up your bungie rendered videos, youtube videos, and any image. This tool is in it's infancy. It's barebones right now, but I am going to snazz it up a ton from now until reach. With Forge being hugely updated in Reach, this tool will also be where you can upload and show off your Forge maps. Exciting times! I hope you enjoy it, and while I'm snazzing it up, fire off a PM to me with suggestions.

Rank Up Feature

There is a new site feature where you can find people to rank up with or play social with, it is here: Rank Up. This is not really for who is online playing right now, this is strictly for finding people with similiar goals, be it ranking up in a playlist, helping others rank up, or trying to get EXP in social. This feature is also perfect for boosters to find each other, which is why it will be heavily patrolled and if used in a bad way will lead to Leaderboard bans and Site bans. So play nice! Thanks!

I have added to the site, in the top right side of a thread, the +fav button. This will tag a thread as a favorite thread so you can find it more easily in the future. If you check under the Message Forum drop down menu, you'll see a link to your favorites. Hope you enjoy this feature. Thanks

A very productive Weekend

A lot of features on the site have been updated. To state a few: Cleaned up the forum threads, so you can PM, Quote, Credit, and report threads. Added search functionality over all of the forums or by a particular forum. Finished up the hammers code so we can now enforce a legit leaderboard. Very soon we'll post the rules of the leaderboards. Halo 3 weapon and medal leaderboards are complete. Look for the Reach very soon. I won't lie, we got a ton of new features that are coming up soon. I got about 3-4 ideas 75% done. So be sure to check back! Update: New bling up in the forums! Thanks to KOP Plague for the forum ranks, and Ativan, Smyf for the medals.
