New Charts!!! See all your data

What's the point of tracking you for 3 years if you can only see 2 weeks of historical data, I asked myself, 6 months ago.  So today, I decided to get crackin, and fix it.  

So... New Charts!  These are interactive, and if you slide the slider at the bottom, you can zoom in and out and see daily progression, yearly, etc!!!  This is a major improvement, and I hope are as excited as I am.

For fans of Competitive Halo, here's the news you've all been waiting for. Details on an upcoming Competitive Playlist are as follows:

As we first told you in the 12.12.12 Halo Bulletin, ( http://blogs.halowaypoint.com/Headlines/post/2012/12/12/The-Halo-Bulletin-121212.aspx ) we have been hard at work on a competitive playlist featuring heavily modified versions of Slayer, CTF, Extraction and King of the Hill. This playlist will launch before CSR (mid-February) and we envision it as both the go-to place for competitive play and the premier playlist to get your 50 in. We’ve been paying close attention to the competitive community’s settings while building this playlist, and will continue to do so both pre- and post-playlist launch. We will share the first outline of the settings next week to collect community feedback and perfect the competitive playlist before going live. The name of this playlist is still TBD - please feel free to give us suggestions.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on AGL this weekend and the settings they are using at this tournament. Please continue to provide feedback as it helps us fine-tune and perfect your Matchmaking experience, and thank you, as always, for your continued support.

First of all, Advanced Stats are available for all supporters who have donated $15 or more, server costs are higher than ever, these stats take up a lot space on the server, so please consider donating if you love stats.

Now onto, how to access the stats, click on the Advanced Stats tab on your Halo 4 stats page. Click the Collection link on the left, once your collection is over, refresh your page.

Daily Stats

Click on the Daily Stats link on the left, click the drop down and select which day you would like to see the stats from.



Playlist, Medal and Weapon Stats will be shown by day.



Most Played With

Click on the Most Played With link on the left, this will show the top 100 players you have most played with.



Total Playlist Stats

These can be viewed by clicking on the Playlist tab on your Halo 4 Stats page.



All these stats are totals from each Playlist.

Happy Holidays.

Tonight I added a new 'Tracking' tab that will show your rolling and daily KD/Win% stats.   Rolling means your overall KD computed each day, showing you as your overall KD went up or down.   The daily columns are your stats that Day.

One Note: We do not update your stats automatically for you, so if you want to have accurate Daily tracking, be sure to update your stats daily, otherwise you will have gaps.

Alright, hope everyone has enjoyed Halo 4. I've been adding stuff everyday, but for the less observant people out there, here is a quick list of what I have done, and then, some future plans.  

1) Medals and Weapons   They no longer download automatically, you have to go into the settings tab and check, and boom.  
2) Medals/Weapons Completion  Assuming you download those stats, you'll see which ones you have, and which ones you are missing. It's possible some of them are impossible to get, and we'll remove those when we can.
3) Leaderboards Today I added Total XP and Playlist High Skill. Definitely going to want to check those out.
4) Game Type Stats  You got all your stats broken out, with ranks if you are ranked higher in top 5000.  Green ranks if your ever better.  Your site score percentile on the site.  And of course True skill.

If you click on the game type name, you can see your true skill history.  Be sure to check that out.

5) True Skill  Grade 1 and 2 have been added.  You might see those callled rank 51/52, but its Grades of 50.

Upcoming Plans

Charts: Going to add a few more things into the charts and fix the scale so things look better.
Medal / Weapons Ranks & Leaderboards

After those 2 are done, I will move to supporter stats.  Supporter stats will be how you get your playlist stats, as well as daily stats broken out,  who you play best/worst with, etc, like we did for reach.  That will take quite a bit of development time.  I have a good start.

Hope you enjoy the site, don't forget to donate, our donations have ran pretty dry since we don't have supporter stats up for Halo 4.  Our server bills are still coming though!

Halo 4 API discussion on the Halo Council Show

If you don't know what the Halo Council Show is, its a informal podcast which they discuss mostly eSports and the MLG scene, on this weeks show, Gandhi brought up the Halo 4 API as a topic. What are your favorite games when you are not playing Halo?
Definately Mass Effect. The campaign is awesome, and they are always adding more free DLCs to the multiplayer which is basically like firefight except better.

Which Halo is your favorite and Why?
I'd have to say H2. It was my first xbox game and the super jumps, custom games, matchmaking, and awesome campaign quotes made it my favorite one so far.

What is your favorite gametype and map?
Capture the Flag. I love most objective based gametypes. Battle Canyon is probably my favorite map on Reach. I played it alot in the Anniversary Squad playlist.

Collecting Money for HTR Jerseys at the MLG Halo 4 Event: Neighbor Naded Elumnite Hysteria

Masonyx has used is own money, to sponsor and create a MLG team for the Halo 4 Tournament in Dallas.  This is going to be a huge event, probably one of the most watched events.

The members on the team are: Neighbor Naded Elumnite Hysteria

Because of Masons generosity, he has some halotracker advertisements on the jersey.  This is going to be bad ass to have our community name on such talented players, in such a big event.   What I would like to do is raise a bit of money, to help pay Mason back.

I would also like to offer a bonus to the players for getting on stage, this will encourage them to continue to promote halotracker in the future.  Since Halotracker is not-for-profit, we need help.    Please help us raise a few bucks to keep the halotracker promotion train going!

Halotracker Charity Weekend Farewell.

First, let us start with one HUGE thank you, to everyone who took part in the Charity weekend. It was an amazing success. From the grand prix races, and mindless laughter throughout on the Saturday. To the hardcore fighting that was going on in the Zealot arena on the Sunday, even the humble raffle, sold an amazing 170 tickets. With 8 prizes, going for grabs. The weekend went so well. With the generosity of all of you, shining through. It was a pleasure for us to host this weekend.

In the end, we had some victors in the events, but it was all for charity, so not a single loser was made this weekend. However, to give the winners of this weekend their dues. Here are the results;

What are your favorite activities when you decide to put down your controller?
I guess reading takes a lot of my time when I'm not playing video games. Listening to music is also another thing I enjoy doing.

Do you have a favorite television show?
That 70's Show. I don't think I've ever seen anything funnier, and Red's constant threats to his son is one of the most priceless things I've watched on TV.

Do you have a favorite movie?
Oh yes. Lord of The Rings: The Two Towers has probably one of the most epic battle scenes. The Battle of Helms Deep is one of the most dramatic scenes in the entire trilogy to me.

Do you have a favorite actor/actress?  
Arnold Schwarzenegger. I never get tired of his "Get to the chopper!" quote.

Rank 50 Grade 6 Added

Happy to announce that we have added Rank 50 Grade 6 to the site. I never thought you guys would push so hard to get the Rank 50 Grade 5.  I am truly amazed.  So, it's time to raise the bar again.  

Grade 6 will take 4x longer to get than it took you to get Grade 5.  I also adjusted the formula for Grade 6 just to make your life a little bit harder.  Increased penalties for losing and dying.   Good luck on your endeavor!!

I am proud to bring you the newest Community Spotlight: Tyyger


Do you have a favorite television show?
Two and a half men. Charlie sheen is a demi god amongst men, if not, a little insane at times. As well as that, I've always enjoyed the same typical shows, "Friends", "rules of engagement"...etc. I do enjoy shows like numbers, and other programs, but those are mainly science/space related.

Do you have a favorite movie?
Man, I haven't really watched movies in my life time. I would honestly have to say The Dark Knight has been my favourite. It is played well, and I have always enjoyed "darkness" being played well. The last Batman movie was good, but not the best one.

Do you have a favorite actor/actress?  
I love the way Johnny Depp acts, so between him and Heath Ledger. Would be my favourite. That is Heath Ledger as the Joker in Batman.

Members Of The Week

We are going to try something new here at halotracker.  Most of our members would love to have a color behind their name in the chat and posts, but we have always been pretty strict about that.  Today we are going to add one more color.

Every Sunday night, the system will go out and pick 10 members who were the most active in the forum the week prior.  This is a formula based on how many posts you make, your # of credits received for posting, and some other tricks I'm not going to mention.

Based on this formula, if you are in the top 10, you will get a color for the next 7 days.  At the end of the week, we will remove your color, and pick another 10 people.  

FYI-Izzle.. I will probably change the formula pretty often and sneak stuff in there.  Participation in certain posts, polls (hint), etc.  You never know.

F.A.Q

Q:  Do these people have any power?

A: No, none.  It's just bragging rights

Q: Can people boost and get this?

A: Yes. If you boost and get this, we have a VERY easy way to see, we see everything, and we will simply black list you, ban you, and anything else we're in the mood to do to make you look stupid.

Q: Can I lose my color before the week is over?

A: Yes. The staff, for any reason, can deem you not worthy and remove it. The formula doesn't take into consideration your maturity level, and staff can handle that case by case.

Q: Can staff get member of the week?

A: Nope

Hello All, Today I added Thread Subscriptions, this will allow you to receive a PM or an E-Mail when someone posts in a thread.  I also have a Watch list which is coming soon.

When would you use this?

- Ask a staff question, want to be notified when it's answered?
- Follow important staff posts about stats, trueskill, halo 4, etc so you get notified of updates
- Know when people post in your thread
- Works for groups too
- Advertising your clan? Don't you want to know when someone asks a question?

Since we don't send newsletters anymore, this would be a good way to follow big items.

Honoring Aurora

Maddog1953 of the Ancient Warriors came up with a fantastic idea for the Halo community. I am sure you are all aware of the tragedy that took place in Aurora, Colorado on July 20, 2012 where 70 people were injured and 12 killed in a mass shooting at a theater. This horrific episode has hit many families and it will take a long time for many to heal.


Maddog1953 proposed that on this Sunday everyone, as a sign of sympathy, support and awareness, sport the red heart on a white background on our Halo "nameplates" in honor of those who were killed or wounded, and their families.

Halotracker "The Forge"

Howdy!

This weekend I've been a busy boy.  I developed a forge database for you guys, that will carry us out on reach, and be ready for Halo 4.  It's a place where forgers can upload their Premium maps, for everyone to see.  

I say premium, and I mean it. This is a way to the really good maps to the people.  Amature maps are still welcome at Halotracker, under the Files menu, you can link up your maps, and spam them all you want.

But The Forge, is where to go if you're looking for new maps to play with friends, use in a tournament, or get some inspiration.

Check it out for yourself, you can find this link under the "Halo Reach" menu drop down.   We will be featuring maps every week and putting them on the Homepage.  If you are a forger, this is your oppurtunity to shine, and be on the homepage of a large halo site.

Your name or GT will sound familiar to some people, why is that? Where would people recognize you from?
I have been a professional gamer since 2005 and have competed in every MLG event since the beginning of 2006. My first event being in Los Angeles 2005.

What are your favorite games when you are not playing Halo?
The game I have played the most outside of Halo is World of Warcraft and numerous XBL Arcade games. I don't really play many other games besides the game I'm currently competing in at tournaments but you can never go wrong with a good casual gaming session.

What is your best or favorite Pro moment?

57 - Favorite Pro moment would have to be beating Str8 Rippin at Raleigh 2010 National Championships in 2 series, with an overall score of 6-1 against them where we ended up placing 10th.
  
20 - I'd have to say that moment also, or perhaps being invited to TheLanNetwork last year to practice against some of the best teams in the game before the MLG Dallas 2011 Opener event, that was a really cool experience!

What got you into streaming?

57 - We saw lots of other players doing it and it looked like something fun to do as well as helping to promote ourselves and our team.
  
20 - A lot of people wanted to see us play online, so we've done everything in our power to give our fans and followers what they want!

HaloTracker's Community File Spotlight

This week's Community Files Spotlight is Facility 17 submitted by under zid of Forge Cafe.



Facility 17 is a based on the idea of an underground testing lab, with cosemetic detail in mind. We really wanted to give the feel of being in a labratory deep with the rocky core of the earth. The facility was being used to reverse engineer Covenant technology during the space wars. Captured ships were taken underground, and UNSC top officials and scientists would use stolen programs to duplicate the alien energy.

The energy would then be gathered in silos and stored for future agendas. The facility remained CODE BLACK until recent attacks on UNSC cities forced the military to de-classify the area, and tap into the energy reserves. It remains operational today, although very little energy remains.

So you STILL don't have the Anniversary maps? Well thanks to Jennie and ShavedLycan13, 2 lucky people will each win a download code good for the Halo Anniversary Map Pack.

In order to qualify for this drawing, you must play and win a slayer based gametype (excluding SWAT, Snipers and Living Dead) and you must earn at least 3 kills, 4 assists and 3 headshots with the Magnum and only the Magnum. Melee and grenades kills are also allowed. This can be on any non Anniversary MM map.

10,343 Halotracker challenges, in the bag!

Wow.  Never thought we would see this day.  The users of this site, have completed 10,343 challenges.  

Why is this significant? It shows you how tight this community is, and how it pulls people together to enjoy and continue playing Halo.  When you could be off getting credits for in-game challenges, you were out there getting ours.  Ours, which were often a lot harder, and all you got was some player page awards, it really shows how talented and dedicated you guys are.

We should all give the the challenge producers one big curtsie, for they make these challenges every week.  This feature is for you, by you, and I'm glad you enjoy it.  Sabj got this program going little less then a year ago, and the Challenge Creators group took over from there.   They get nothing in return for doing this work. This is all for you.

On Monday, I will compile all of the submissions for the dates: Feb 6th to Feb 20th.  Every submission you make is one raffle ticket.  Using random.org, I will pick winners and PM you codes!

20 New Monday Challenges

my psychologist lost his marbles, and created 20 brand new challenges for this week!  

We should hit 10,343 challenges completed this week.  This means we'll be giving out xbox live codes.  So be sure to get in as many as you can, because every challenge completed, is a raffle ticket!

We will also include last weeks challenge completers in the raffle.  Be sure to get as many done as you can, and of course, have fun!

New Classifications!!

Hip Hip!



Darkened Night has brought us more goodies.  We are happy to announce 3 more classifications today!

We added them for MLG, Fliers (Banshee/Falcon), and Quitting!

Yep, you heard us right. Those of you who stay in the game until the end, will be classified as honorable players.  The only sad part is, this classification uses supporter stats, so you have to be a supporter to get it , but, you can donate and support us and get it! !

-You must sign up for the 1v1 League.
